Why to pay with money if paying with bills is cheaper!
Under the law of Ukraine “On bills turnover on the territory of Ukraine” legal entities and natural persons may take the rights and liabilities by bills of exchange and promissory notes in the territory of Ukraine.
Bills of exchange and promissory notes may be issued for money debt documentation for goods actually delivered, works performed and services rendered.
In the case the bill is issued (transferred) under the agreement the monetary liabilities of payment under such agreement shall be terminated and the monetary liabilities on paying the bill shall be imposed.
The bank providing the bill guarantee (guarantor) shall bear the same responsibility as the person whose responsibilities have been guaranteed.
As a payment instrument, the bill provides new opportunities for:
- settlements with the contractors even if the money flow on the current accounts of the banks is blocked;
- settlements with customs and taxation authorities in the established order;
- neutralization of the rate fluctuations during the settlements with the residents;
- receiving of services in own bank as well as in the partner banks.
