Ukrsotsbank summarized its activity in the first quarter of 2009. As of April 1, 2009 the dynamics of basic indicises of Ukrsotsbank is as follows:

• total loan portfolio of the bank is UAH 42,691 billion. The loan portfolio of individuals exceeds the loan portfolio of enterprises (UAH 23.566 billion against UAH 19.125 billion)
• net assets totaled UAH 46.674 billion
• funds of legal entities deposited on thrift and current accounts amounted to UAH 6.315 billion
• funds of individuals reached UAH 5.971 billion
• the Bank’s capital amounted to UAH 5.249 billion having increased since the beginning of the year by 1.4%
• net profit for the first quarter of 2009 – UAH 54 million

JSCB Ukrsotsbank was established in September 1990. At present, it is among the largest banks in Ukraine. The branch network (without the HQ) of the Bank comprises 449 offices – 436 off-balance offices and 13 regional branches. The number of employees — 9 500.

On 23rd of January 2008, UniCredit Group finalized the acquisition of 94,2% total shareholders capital of Ukrsotsbank from the group of investors that were represented by international consulting company EastOne (shareholders’ saler) through Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG (BA-CA), which is responsible for commercial banking activity in CEE.
